The owners of this original 1890s house engaged James to retain the aesthetics of the original house and bring it into this century. ​James helped the clients realize their vision through his experience and knowledge and by ensuring all aspects were considered and integrated into the design of the house and around how they lived their life.

WHY THE CLIENT APPOINTED JAMES

• James' knowledge and expertise in traditional joinery and carpentry was integral to helping create the authentic look and feel required by the clients

• His craftsmanship, experience, and skills allowed him to recreate and build original features using traditional methods such as traditional joinery methods (not using mechanical fixtures) such as dovetail joints, mortise joints, and tenon joints
